Why Did My Cake Fall
Why Did My Cake Fall. It causes cakes to rise quickly and then crater during the baking process. This will cause the structure to not be able to stay together because there is too much moisture in the batter.
I can't figure out why it is that whenever I make a chocolate cake it falls apart. Mixing the ingredients in the wrong order. A cake batter can fall in the center if the batter is either too moist or too dry.
There won't be a proper balance between the wet and dry ingredients.
Turning a warm or hot cake out of a baking pan too quickly, will crack and fall apart.
Opening the oven door too early. When it's not getting to a high enough temperature, the cake batter won't get the initial burst of heat that it should. Closing the oven door too sharply.
