Vegan Chocolate Frosting Recipe
Vegan Chocolate Frosting Recipe. Place the butter into a large mixing bowl, and beat it at high-speed with an electric mixer, until creamy. Add the extra soy milk in slowly, only as much as needed (see notes).
Use it on vegan cakes, cupcakes, or cookies, or spread it on waffles or pancakes. Sift in the powdered sugar and the cocoa powder. Add the plant-based milk and the vanilla extract.
Slowly stream in almond milk until frosting reaches desired consistency.
When all sugar has been mixed in, the frosting will appear dry.
Then add the vanilla and slowly add the non-dairy milk, only as much as needed to get to the right consistency. Beat in the non-dairy milk, in two additions, beating each addition in fully before adding the next. It's done when the mixture is medium firm, similar to a very firm gel.
